Merry Christmas!

Had a very good Christmas today. I managed to get gifts for all the people in my family, and they all were well-received, and they in turn got very nice gifts for me. I'll be leaving to visit a neighbor's house soon, but in the meantime I'll just give an overview of some things I got:

• Portable speakers. These will be quite nice to go with my iPod, when nobody's around – headphones are annoying. They seem to be working well now, connected to my computer.
  
• Lots and lots of books. I am a bibliophile, though my Internet addiction has been distracting me for the past few months; books are always a good gift.
  
• Jerome K. Jerome books, specifically. While he is best known for the classic "Three Men in a Boat" (a truly excellent work of comedy, which I could only recommend too highly by efforts on the order of those required to construct the Roman Colosseum), I have found that his other works seem worthy as well. Or, at least, the first bit of "Diary of a Pilgrimage" is – I haven't got around to the others yet.
  
• Movies. I got five, including both two which I'd seen and liked, and wanted, already ("Stark Raving Mad" and "Dog Day Afternoon"), and three others I haven't seen ("Top Gun", "Space Cowboys", and a double-feature featuring one about Evel Kinevel and another about other BMX guys).
  
• A CD of videogames from CAG.
  
• A box of manga stickers.
