A good day; I visited a friend's house for most of it, and then watched "Starship Troopers" with Mom. In between, I read some very good Livejournal posts.
This morning, my good friend K. gave me a call to say that his mom had to work, starting at 11 o'clock, and would I be able to come over and hang out? I cheerfully assented, showered, checked the bus schedules, called back to confirm details, dropped various games and such in my backpack (most importantly including "Goldeneye 007" for N64), schlepped various materials downstairs for my mom to sort out, scarfed a bowl of cereal, borrowed an umbrella on my mom's suggestion, and walked out to the bus stop. When I arrived, he showed me RuneScape – I wasn't really interested – and then we played Goldeneye (mostly) until another friend showed. Along with him, we played part of a game of pool (specifically Elimination) before breaking for lunch, and then videogamed the rest of the afternoon away. As I implied, a good visit.
"Starship Troopers" was weird. Not a bad movie, exactly; well, weird. My mom pointed out that it looked like it was supposed to be campy, but they were often too serious and too gross for that impression to stick. Fun to watch, though. Would probably be fun to MST3K, too ("What do those bugs eat?), if you're into that sort of thing.

readers_list. That's a good comm, I must say. Also, my friendslist rocks. Some recent rocking posts, of very different kinds. (From last several days, not just today. Definitely incomplete list.)
