My computer's back!

Turns out the logic board was bad. Fast turnaround, too – I brought it in last Saturday, and it was ready Thursday.

So, what news?

• I survived the end of the semester, mainly due to the badgering support and encouragement of my dear mother. I owe her more than I can imagine.
  
• Christmas went well. Most successful gift given: judging from reactions, The Toast Incident. Judging by how much use it's gotten, Little Red Riding Gulo. ursulav prints really rock as presents, I must say. Most memorable gift received: a shirt, from my sister, with a word balloon saying, "Note to Self: I'm Rad!"* At first I thought I'd never wear it, but I went ahead and put it on for one day, and man! Every time I looked in the mirror I had to grin.
  
• I saw the first six episodes of Heroes. Plus: The characters and powers are pretty cool. (Especially Hiro. He's so cute!) Minus: It's got that ... TV ... serial, thing, with the constant cliffhangers and introduction of new mysteries. It's bothersome.
  
• nanakikun: Hey, there's a free demo of Gran Turismo† for Playstation 3, today only! We gotta download it!
  packbat: You don't have a Playstation 3.
  nanakikun (pointing): Look right there.
  packbat: Gah! You do have Playstation 3!
