This morning, I went with Dad (^z) to his friend's house for a day of board games, etc. We arrived at approximately 9:30 AM, and played "Clans" and "Medici" with the host and a couple other friends of his; both games are German board games, and a lot of fun. We finished before 2:00 PM.

On the way there and back, we dropped off and picked up my sister at UMD; she had meetings there.

When we arrived home, we found a visitor had already arrived: one of the aforementioned old family friends, and the mother of several more. It was not long before the (mostly-grown) children arrived, and they were entertained for some time watching songs from my mom's Bollywood movies. After that, we went to the mall to go eat at the Cheesecake Factory.

(While we were there, I bought a copy of Guy Gavriel Kay's "Lions of Al-Rassan" in the bookstore – it was recommended by [livejournal.com profile] limyaael awhile back, so I wanted to check it out.)

Now, as I type this entry, most of them have departed for their homes, and one has left with my brother [livejournal.com profile] nanakikun to visit a club. I assume news on that front will be forthcoming there.

So, a good day overall. I should hit the sack, though; I'm tired.
