Sorry for the big posting drought – I do have some interesting personal news, though, starting with yesterday, when I went to the movies with Mom to watch "Stealth". And it rocked.

The fourth most important thing to know about "Stealth" is this: it's a science fiction movie. A hard sci-fi movie. For those of you who don't know what that means, it means they don't cheat when dealing with science. For example, my mom tells me that this is the first movie she's seen (and I suspect she's seen thousands) in which an exploded plane makes falling debris. Conservation of mass.

The third most important thing to know about "Stealth" is this: the reviewers were wrong. I haven't seen every review, of course, but the New York Times reviewer, the Washington Post Style section reviewer, and the Washington Post Weekend section reviewer all missed the point.

The second most important thing to know about "Stealth": "Stealth" is not a popcorn movie. "Stealth" does not stop to explain plot twists. "Stealth" expects you to think while watching.

The most important thing? It doesn't just rock. It's a good movie. And all that implies.
