Wow, one of my poems actually got plagiarized on a webforum last week.

I feel like I've passed some sort of test. "See! I'm a genuine web artist! People have even stolen my work!"

(Of course, I met that criterion when half a Physics II class was turning in my old lab reports, but who's counting?)

One of the most ironic things I ever witnessed was in eighth grade when someone plagiarized "The Homework Machine" by Shel Silverstein and read it in front of the class as his own poem.

Wow. That's pretty heavy-duty irony.

Also, dumb. I don't know much about the history of poetry, but even I recognize Shel Silverstein's name. And I'd expect my teacher to know that one.
