Zee laptop, eet is kaput! All kaput!

You know, it could be my carting it about in the backpack every day, but I think Apple has lost quality since the old Mac Plus days. I have taken this in to replace the hard drive, to replace the monitor, to replace the logic board ... this stinks.

(Of course, the computer I want to replace it is a MacBook....)

Well, it's a iBook G4, bought mid-2005, I think – judging by the serial number (http://www.tuaw.com/2005/04/14/when-was-your-mac-born/), it's a 2004 Tawainese model, probably the late-2004 version. And honestly, I do bang it around. Still frustrating, though.

Nifty serial-number thingie! Taiwan, 2003, 51st week. Mine doesn't get as much wear-and-tear now that I'm out of school. Spends most of its time in the livingroom, with occasional trips to my parents, to work, or on vacation. Vacation is the main reason I'll probably buy another laptop this year.
