But in all seriousness, many of my problems are things I have shame over - but if I embarrass myself in front of someone three states away, that doesn't really bother me. I'm more open about being an atheist here for the very same reason.

Yeah, same here. I can talk more about LGBTQA issues on my livejournal -- I'm still kind of closeted IRL. And I can whine without people being jerks to me. Also, I sometimes prefer my lj friendslist to people IRL because they don't judge me or make fun of me.

I'm kidding. You know I am.

I can't tell my friends that I think being trans is okay because they see it as an anomaly. It sucks. I can't talk about LGBT issues. I can't talk about love having no definition. It depresses me because I have to pretend I'm straight when what I want to do is move to San Francisco and be myself.

I'M SUCH A WHINER TODAY. GOD.

It's the closet. Best we can do is change hearts and minds and live our lives in the meantime.
