Firefox can make macro bookmarks! Directions for making a macro for LJ are in that post; here's my macro for
Merriam-Webster OnLine:
- Select "Bookmarks: Manage Bookmarks..." (colon indicates option in menu).

- Click the "New Bookmark..." button.

- Enter a name in the Name field.

- Enter "http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/%s" in the Location field.

- Enter a keyword in the "Keyword" field – I used "mw".

- To use: type your keyword followed by your word in the location field of the regular browser, a la "mw eccentricity".
